Portugal, August 2012

"7 Days of truly photography experience at The Boom Festival, taking spontaneous portraits of people."

A Photography Project by Ludovic Ismael

The Boom Festival is a biennial festival which takes place in Portugal. The festival features music, paint, sculpture, video art, installations cinema, theater and a concept of crosspollination of different art forms. The first Boom Festival happened in 1997 with a large influence on electronic music, but nowadays Boom is a multidisciplinary event. Initially a psytrance festival, the first Boom had two stages: a dance floor, and a chillout area. Boom now incorporates a 'Sacred Fire' stage, for world music, acoustic sets and live bands, and 2008's Boom debuted the 'Groovy Beach', a stage for contemporary genres of electronic music, including Dubstep, Breakbeat, Techno andMinimal. As well as expanding musically, Boom also encouraged different media to flourish, including an art gallery, natural sculpture, street theatre, fire-dancing, and the Liminal Village contains a large shaded space housing lectures, yoga, films, meditation and discussions.

El Bosque Mágico

El Bosque de Oma

Oma forest is a work of art created by Agustin Ibarrola, a Basque sculptor and painter. The work is located in a forest near Kortezubi (Bizkaia, Basque Country) << (Northern Spain), in the natural reserve of Urdaibai. It is also known as the "painted forest".
The work follows the modern art trend called “Land art”. Most of the trees are Monterrey pines. Displays the harmony between nature and human presence by painting on the trunks of trees, human figures, animals and geometric shapes, some of which are visible only from certain positions.

You Set Me on Fire

When there is nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire.

The amazing photography of Amanda Charchian for Vice Magazine

I've seen the work of Charchian around the web many times and I just can't get enough. This project hits the center of my heart. I saw it and it reminded me of a song we did two years ago called "fuego" which has the feel of a sacrifice on the dessert. Actually it's the first time I share a song made by us. This one was a collaboration between 5 amazing friends and me when we lived in Miami.
Hope you enjoy it ;)

They never stop surprising and inspiring us. Great job Tami + Chole ;)
