MAN AS ART

These images are from photographer Malcolm Kirk who spent over 13 years traveling the South Pacific. This collection is from his hardcover book called "MAN AS ART" documenting Papa New Guinea islanders' stunning tribal body decorations and carved masks. The images are merely aesthetical, how they decorate themselves for social gatherings without a specific cultural message. Kirk mostly wanted to capture their creative form of individual expression.
