Today is that day of the year where "Burning Man" commences. It's an event/experience where you create your own reality. No one is a spectator, everybody builds their world. And once you create it, it will stick with you forever. I've been wanting to go to this event and have never found the time or money to do it. This year I planned too late. And besides, it's not cheap; it's about $390 per person + camping + food + whatever you do there for 8 days.
So yes, looks like you have to work hard to go there. People say Burning Man is not the same thing it was a few years ago; that it has become more mainstream. I also heard that they will stop doing it soon because the word has spread out. I don't know how true this can be, but what I know is that I'm looking forward for next year.
"The Burning Man project has grown from a small group of people gathering spontaneously to a community of over 48,000 people. It is impossible to truly understand the event as it is now without understanding how it has evolved. Trying to explain what Burning Man is to someone who has never been to the event is a bit like trying to explain what a particular color looks like to someone who is blind. To truly understand this event, one must participate."
Check out the video I'm sharing here. It speaks by itself. And if you couldn't make it, experience it remotely here:http://laughingsquid.com/ how-to-experience-burning-man- 2012-remotely/
would love to get the songs on the video, can you say who sings and what songs are playing (mostly in Spanish)? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCheck out the app called "Shazam" it might help. Just play the song and it should tell you the artist name. I found one version but it is Cumbia, not the same one on the video.
